New Changes for 2008- 2009
Six and under age group:
**Due to the increase in the cost of the buckles, all contestants who qualify and attend finals will
receive a trophy instead of the buckle.
**The Stickhorse barrel race will not count toward the all-around. We will give prizes for this event
same as all 6 & under events. Buckle for 1st, etc.
**Flag race will be discontinued.
**Goat undecorating will be done on horseback. you will ride down, dismount, remove the ribbon from
the tail and run back across a line. The rulebook will be updated with the event rule.
**Stickhorse barrels will be run in the main arena immediately following the Grand Entry. We will then
continue in the following order:
7-10 Poles
6 & under Poles
7-10 Barrels
6 & under Barrels
6 & under Goat Undecorating (horseback)
7-10 Goats
Continue same as always
7-10 STEER RIDING
**Payout and points will be given on qualified 6 second rides only.
11-14 Tie-Down Roping
**This event will follow the AWJRA rules.
